Video Transcript

"Hi I'm Donna Barnes I'm a life and dating coach and owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about how to get a friend to like you and very simply that's to be a good friend. And to be a good friend means to be a good listener to really take in what they are saying, and really hear what it is that is going on with them. To be trustworthy, when your friend tells you something, that's not gossip to go share with everybody else. Keep that to yourself, that's between the two of you. Really show them that you are a trusted valued friend by holding their secrets for them. Another way to be a great friend is just to be a good companion, be there for them if they are having a hard time, be there for them when they are having fun. Don't be a fair weathered friend where if something better comes along you leave your old friend behind. Good friends can last a lifetime. So if you really take the time and value them then you'll be a good friend. So great listening is a good thing, that means allowing them to finish their whole thought before you interrupt and be trustworthy. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
