"Hi I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a life and dating coach, and owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about who pays for the bridal shower. Well, it's probably the maid of honor. The maid of honor is really the one that coordinates the bridal shower, and plans it, and gets everybody together. If she has a hard time taking on that full burden, she could certainly ask some of the other bridesmaids to chip in, or maybe the mother of the bride. Or, you know, some few close relatives so that it's not all squarely on her wallet. But, it's really the bridesmaid who does all the planning. So, if she's planning big and elaborate things, than she should be prepared to pay for them. That's only really fair. If you're asking other people to contribute in something, than they can contribute what it is that they're comfortable with. But, if you're going to make demands on them, then you really should be prepared to pay for it. So, the bridal shower can be a really wonderful, simple thing. It doesn't have to be big and elaborate if you're responsible for planning it. Or, it can be more interesting. When you ask someone to bring little specific things specific to the bride, to add to each gift is always a fun little tip. This is Donna Barnes, from New York City."
