"It would be good if everyone knew what the good hands, starting hands are, for a game like Skinny Minnie. So, let's show you. Now remember, Skinny Minnie is high low, so this hand at the bottom is good especially if, at the end of the game, no one has a qualifying low. But if you catch two high pair, you can throw away this ten and hope to get a full house or a boat, as we like to call it, and you'll probably win the high. If I had this hand, I would bet early, and as much as I could, because since it locks you out of the low half of the pot, you need to discourage people from going for the low. This middle hand is great because it can scoop. It's a qualifying low hand, six to deuce, it's a pat hand, which means you do not have to draw. And, it's a straight which will, on a regular basis, take down the whole pot. And, then this last hand is good because it's four cards to a five low, you trade in the ten, and hope to catch something that is below an eight, and doesn't pair your hand. Those are three good starting hands for a game like Skinny Minnie."
