"The next button listed on the waveforms for the 3XLSE is a random looking line that is actually in the noise function. The noise function really sounds just like that. Sounds like your TV just went nuts. However the applications for this are actually quite interesting. Like say if you wanted to make something that sounded like wind. Or even a snare drum. Different kinds of snare drums. Noise sounds like it would be pretty useless in a musical environment, but for sound effects and ambient well, noise, and other kinds of stuff like that, it can really fill a piece and give it more texture. And depending on how you mess with that, it'll make it sound better or worse, but even sometimes worse makes it sound better, because it will sound different, and that sort of stuff is what you'll encounter when you use a noise function on the 3XLSE."
