"Continuing on our segment on the 3xOsc generator in FL Studio. I'll now be discussing what a sine wave does. When you first open up the 3xOsc in fruity loops, you'll see this window show up. This is the default window, and this is what you'll see every time you open it. As you can see, there are these three lines here of different shapes. The first one that is selected is called the sine form. The sine form is always going to be the default selected and this is what it sounds like when you play at first. As you can tell, it sort of sounds like an organ. This is the sound that organs use usually when they make their organ sounds. However, sine waves have other applications as well. I've opened up a second channel here to illustrate that. You have a bell. Bells and organs and usually most other metallic acoustic instruments use the sine wave when you do a recording. It's usually what you want to use the sine wave for and there's all kind of other applications you can do with that including a kind of synthesis if you want to look at something called a Additive synthesis, although we won't be covering that."
