"Now what we're looking for is trying to reduce uncertainty in our perceptions and one of the ways that you can do this, before you solidify your perception of someone, is you can observe them. Observe them in tasks. Observe them with other people. Observe them in their work situation. Watch them closely and carefully and see how they respond and react to other situations and other people besides you. Sometimes you feel like well maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just my perception. That's why you want to reduce that uncertainty. You want to watch them while they're engaging with other people, while they're engaging in other situations and then determine your perception of that person."
