"Alright. Before we start anything, let's talk about format. And, you're going to write your play analysis very similar to the way you would write an outline for a speech or perhaps a research paper. We're going to be using Roman Numerals. There are all of these categories listed here. As you can see we have Roman Numeral One, idea. Two, dramatic action. Three, characters. Four, dialogue. Five is environmental factors. Six is research on the author and past productions. And, seven is proposed directing approach. Which, if you're not going to direct the play if you're an actor then you don't have to worry about that section. But, each one of these Roman Numerals is going to have some subcategories and we're going to write them out just like an outline with capital letter As and lower case letter As and Bs and so forth and so on. So, as you're writing your play analysis you want to follow a Roman Numeral outline format."
