"Hi, I'm Keith Fitzpatrick, this is heavy to learn hip hop and we're going to go over gliding. Now, one thing with gliding, is, well, what it actually is, is you want to do something to make it look like you're gliding or your foot is just gliding over the top of the ground. Alright? So what you want to do with that is all in how you transfer your weight. If you're going to make your right foot glide, then you want to transfer all of your weight to your left leg. So, weight transfer is a big part of dancing, you have to learn when and where to transfer your weight. So with this movement, your weight is transferred to your left foot so your right foot can do whatever it wants to do. It can just be around and you can do whatever with it because your left leg is holding your body up so you want to let your right foot not touch the ground, just kind of barely let it skim the ground and move it back and it looks like you're gliding, so when you do that over again, you're just gliding, your foot's just gliding on air, alright? Same thing with your other foot, you transfer your weight, if you're going to glide with your left foot, you transfer your weight to your right foot, bring your left foot up, let it barely touch the ground, just barely, and it gives you the impression.
