"In this video I'll be demonstrating the proper fingering for a G major scale and arpeggio. To start off, start in the first position but then shift. Put your first finger where your second finger was. Now your second finger is on G. So you're going to play second finger, open A string, first finger on B, second finger on C, open D string, first finger on E, fourth finger on F-sharp, and open G. So it should sound like this. Now with the arpeggio you'll be playing the first, third, fifth, and seventh notes of the scale. So you start with your second finger on G, first finger on B, open D string, fourth finger on F-sharp, open G string."
