"How about we talk about, bad hands for California Lowball, bad starting hands? Look here at the bottom hand. I think I'm driving things home a little hard, but I want to make sure that we do it, in that, you might look at this and say, Hey, I've got three cards to a seven low, and you might get excited. You say, I'm going to stay in, and I'm going to throw away these two cards, and hope to catch, say a three and a deuce, or a deuce and an ace. The thing is, if you start playing this game, and get experienced at it, you'll really learn it, but I'm just going to tell you, it is way easier in a lowball game, to build up than it is to build down, so just do yourself a favor, and don't try to build down, because most likely what will happen, is you'll throw these two cards away, and you'll catch a pair, or you'll catch a nine and a five, and then you’ll go, you'll have a nine low, and nine low usually won't win. Secondly, is a starting hand that's all high cards. When you catch this, just turn it over, and throw it away, unless you can check to see the draw, and draw four cards. Lastly, just want to say, even if you catch the bug and four high cards, throw it away, because the math is against you."
