"So, how do you start out a hand of five card draw? Well, you know, after you've shuffled the cards sufficiently, and if you need to learn about good shuffling technique, I have a video, I have a series on Expert Village about that. And, then you can play with blinds, or ante. Let's go ahead and play with ante. So, let's say that the ante is one red chip from everyone. And, then I elect as the dealer for this demonstration, and we're four handed. Everyone at the table is going to get five cards, and then the player to my left, as I'm the dealer, so the player to the dealer's left is going to look at his or her hand, and decide whether to check or bet. And, we'll just go ahead and say that everybody in our demonstration is checking, just for simplicity. And, then we pull cards from our hand and we draw, we draw our new cards, that's why they call it five card draw. And, you'll see more about that in the next segment."
