"Hi. This is Jon. And, in this clip we'll be removing the trim. Now, the first thing that we need to do in removing the old door is to remove all of the dark trim that goes around our door. Now, because this house is somewhat old it could be difficult to find trim that matches the existing trim. So, when we remove it we're going to want to be real careful not to damage the trim. Now, there's a couple different ways to remove the trim. And, in either of the ways you will typically need a hammer and some type of a putty knife or drywall mud knife. Now, the easiest way is to take your drywall knife and slip it behind the trim. And, if we're lucky the trim is somewhat loose and not fastened very good. Then, we can slowly pry away the trim and loosen the nails. The next thing we're going to do is slip that drywall knife back behind our trim. And, we're going to real carefully put the claw end of our hammer behind the trim and start to pull it away. If you hear the trim cracking, that's not a good sign. You've got to be real careful. Next, we're just going to use the same procedures and work our way up the trim pulling that out from the wall. Now, I'm using this drywall knife so that the head of my hammer doesn't dent the door or dent any sheet rock or drywall. Now, you're going to want to set the trim aside somewhere for now. And, make sure it's not in the way that you're going to trip over it. And, you're just going to continue the same procedure until all that trim has been removed."
