"Release and aim frisbee parallel to ground is basically the approach you'll take when releasing your frisbee disk. As I mentioned earlier, when I toss the frisbee, I always try to have it parallel to the ground. I don't want too much of an up level or a down level. These are solid disks that are made just to go flat and parallel to the ground. Certainly the more comfortable you get with your disks, you can then experiment with different angles. But for introduction to your dog, learning the shape, size and momentum of actually catching the disk, parallel release to the ground is going to be the best way to get a parallel frisbee toss. You always want to release the disk when it gets just about to the end of your arm. You can judge after practice on a flat, calm surface of exactly how far the disk will go. Your dog will then let you know the level of distance that's going to be adequate to toss."
