Sanding Repaired Surfboard with Grit

"Alright, so here we have the original board with the two fin gashes and what we are going to do now is this is a sand finish so all we need to do is finish the board. This is the last step and what we will do is it's hot coated we have a nice bond. So what we will do is we will feather in around the edges. Flatten it out with some hundred grit which is good grit for this board and then we will finish it off with the two twenty. Which is the average finish for a sand finish at least for a repair. So let’s do that! (Sanding) So we will take the hundred grit put the two twenty on the machine. This is for the next step. Just like that take the hundred grit and like I said before just kind of flatted it out just get, you just want to use your hands a lot. To get a feel for the board instead of letting the machine do this, the work. Yes, that's perfect I mean that's going to. That's flat and what the two twenty's going to do is really just finish out. The real sanding has been done so now we are going to use the two twenty just to take away the hundred grit scratches. (Sanding) Again we will just come up, back with by hand and just flatten that out. Throw that paper away. Blow it off and there you go! That's professional work right there. Nice, strong patch job! Back to being in the water. That's the other thing is no cure time on repairs. Once it's finished you can take it back in the water and be surfing within the next, you drop it off you can pick it up the next day and be in the water. So, and now that's it and that's going to cost you about forty five dollars here."
