on 11/23/2008 You just showed us how to rehearse two times before you release, but then you went ahead and threw the treat under your arm and over your shoulder without rehearsal.

Practice what you preach. Be consistent.

Also, your introductory sentence was awkward and hard to follow.

"Toss treat on third toss is going to be used to near completing the dog catch a treat trick. As we've talked about, dogs have a wider sense of vision, so it's sometimes hard to see narrow things. Dogs are very in tune with motion, so as your dog learns the up and down motion, the goal is to release the treat, on the third upward motion. So for a quick review, we start with baiting, getting your dog excited to learn, move the hand to keep attention. We start with one, two, three. Once your dog understands the three motion, you then can move to other more interesting types of approaches, such as, under the leg, under the arm or, the final one, over the shoulder. Either one you pick will be many years of fun."
