"Can my dog get injured from the catch a trick trick? Like I've said on previous segments on agility and dog tricks the more balanced, healthy command based and amount of exercise your dog has the less likely it would be to pull any muscles or be hesitant to perform a trick. In previous segments I have talked about healthy dog food and the proper routine repetition exercises to insure your dog will be in good shape to move when required for quick movements. Catching the treat basically doesn't require any running or stopping or quick starting. Basically it is going to require hip movement and most dogs have a tendency to go towards the treat to catch it once it is released from your hand so I try to keep the dog as isolated as possible to wait for the food as opposed to lunging upward creating a jump."
