"Hi, I'm Mark Middlebrook, I'm here in the Paul Marcus Wines Warehouse and in this segment I'm going to talk about a few excellent producers of Pinot Noir and some some examples of their wines. Starting of with Burgundy producer named Confuron Cotetidot in the village of Vosne-Romanee in Goduer, Northern Burgundy. Confuron Cotetidot makes a pretty wide range of Burgundies from different villages and different vinyards within those villages and I always find that they have, for me, the right combination of sort of earthy real character and finesse and elegance. Like this Gevrey Chambertin village wine from 2005. Moving to Oregon, now, Brooks are is one of my favorite producers in the Willamette Valley the area not to far from Portland, that's really best known for Pinot Noir in Oregon and probably the United States. Brooks is originally the product of Jimmy Brooks who died of a heart attack a couple of years ago. Fortunately, his sister and wine maker friends are carrying on the project. And, they make Pinot Noir's for me have a really nice lusciousness combined with a little bit of that Asian spice and earthy character you get in Oregon Pinot Noir. They're easy to drink, easy to like, but they have some real elegance as well and their prices remain very fair. And now moving to California, I've been really impressed with the Pinot Noirs from Peter Cargasacchi in the central coast area, down near in the direction of Santa Barbara. Sideways country, of course. He makes a couple of Pinot Noirs that we've carried in our store. This is the Santa Rita Hills 2005, which is a little more Burgundian, it's a little more earthy, a little more touch more elegance. And then the other bottling we've carried is the Santa Barbara, a little fleshier, a little more California, maybe, a little more ripe fruit to it but still very well balanced. It's almost embarrassing to pick out three producers like this because in each of these regions and other places throughout the world there are some, really some, many, many great producers. But, these are three that I would recommend highly."
