"Hi, my name is Anthony Baron Kirk, and I'd like to just cover some of the basic pain sites that you will find and feel often times in shoulder impingement or in a compensated shoulder pattern. Very common with the shoulder rolling forward as I covered, calling this upper cross syndrome, is lots of tension in the head, in the neck, especially in this upper portion of the neck we get severe cases of neck tension, and often neck tension based headaches, right through this upper trapezius, down into through this middle portion of the trapezius. So as these shoulders roll forward, this area has a tendency to both elevate, and this downward rotation of the shoulder. A very, very common one, often associated with a very sharp, very distinct sight, kind of in this rear deltoid area, teres minor area as well is very sharp and acute pain, it can be something that actually will keep people up at night, or quite possibly cause a very singey impingement sensation, like it is covering or pinching off a nerve in that case. Often times we'll see a shoulder pain associated with just a simple lateral lift, so again when we think of the shoulder moving, we have this glenal humeral joint, lots of these muscles and tendonal structures coming through this joint. And as we lift, if these shoulders are off their true position, then we find lots of pain associated right within the joint. So these are some of the very specific types of pain that you will see, and also just some of the general moving patterns. So often times just a simple lift, such as if you're reaching for something in a cabinet, you get a very specific impingement type pain, or just an overall every day, I feel this searing hot pain in the back of my shoulder, kind of a sensation like it's always there, so very common ailments in the shoulder that can be quite simply dealt with."
