"Hi. This is Cable, for Expert Village. In this clip, I'm going to show you how you can add a background to your newly digitally-inked and painted animation. And this adds a little more depth and interest to your animation. Basically, especially for this example, which is a run cycle of a bison, as the character sits in the center of the frame and sort of runs in place, what you need to do is add an element in the background, which moves from front to back and gives the illusion that the character is moving forward in the frame. So what you can do is you can either draw a background or, in this case, we've taken a really, really long, basically a photographed image, that runs many, many times the length of the frame. And it's moving back behind the foreground element. And this really didn't take that much time. It's moving behind the foreground element, and it's a little more interesting than the plain white background."
