"This skirt silhouette was a tossup as to what to call it, a "bubble skirt" or a "balloon skirt". I am going with "balloon skirt" from my own personal reference because I think that sounds better, because a bubble skirt to me doesn't look, this is like a hot air balloon to me, so that's my reasoning for calling it a "bubble skirt". To you, you can call it whatever you want, this makes sense to me. So, I am going to show you how to draw my "balloon" bubble skirt. Natural waistline, decide where you want to have your hem, and on this one I have a banded hem. I have it pretty wide, you don't have to have it this wide if you don't want to, or you don't have to have a band there at all, you can just have it hemmed up and turned under. But I wanted to have it right above the knees with a wide band. And then decide how much ballooning you want to have. You can have it a little bit, or you can go, like have to turn sideways to get in a doorway, very, very ostentatious, an actually "balloony" balloony, more like a lamp. And mine has pleats in it, do whatever you want design-wise. And there you go!"
