"As we start learning more about designs and styles of skirts, you'll see that just because something is a pleated skirt, doesn't mean it's going to turn out looking like a Catholic school girl uniform. That's what I personally think of when I think of pleats. But there's so many variations of pleats. And pleats can be origami, they can be knife pleats such as this, there's, pleats are amazing design elements. And your imagination, oh gosh, pleats are fun. You'll realize pleats are awesome. These pleats on here are knife pleats, slash, side pleats. They go in one general direction from starting at the center of the skirt. They go in the same direction out and then on the other side of the middle, same direction out. Easiest way to draw them is to draw the basic outline of your skirt and then draw even section lines and then you have to make it three dimensional for the actual pleat part so a little loop always signifies that. And there's your pleated skirt."
