"In this segment of kids and golf, I'm here with Gant Anderson and we're putting from off the green. Very often, adults certainly, and children more and more are using wedges from off the green. If they're this far off the green, they're using a sand wedge or a sixty degree wedge. Actually, if you use a putter from off the green, if the grass isn't high, and if there aren't big slopes, it’s actually a much easier shot. Gant let’s see you hit this shot. Okay. As you can see, that grass. And keep hitting them and go to the next and the next. As you can the grass has very. That hardly affected that ball. Again, another shot. Just a nice putting stroke. Now, you hit that a little too hard. So hit this one a little easier. The only way to learn how to do that. Look at that touch, he hit it easier. Go ahead, one more try. I taught him that. And that one, even though it got a little caught up, its three feet from the hole. Very often on a shot like that with a wedge, you'll be five feet or ten feet from the hole. If you hit it fat, or if you hit it too thin. If you're off the green, will you automatically go to a wedge? Or will you use a putter? I would use a putter. And do you think it’s easier than a wedge? Yes. And I agree a hundred percent. If you're just a little off the green, the first choice is; can you put? And if you can, use your putter. Just like Gant."
