"This segment is on Arnold Palmer and impact, bang. The ball knows all, the only thing the ball knows is impact. And that's where Palmer really went at it, right at impact. He tried to hit the ball hard, that was one of his main thoughts. Hit the ball hard. How do you do that? Well, you could go into a lot of detail, say well your hips unwind, and your shoulders unwind, and your arms come down, and your hands release, and you could say all kinds of things. But if you were going to throw a ball hard, you wouldn't think of all those things, you would just throw it hard. If you were going to throw a punch hard, if you were going to do anything hard, just the word doing it hard, doing it with force, aggressively. At impact, because that's the only place that really matters. When you're at the top of your back swing, the ball doesn't look up and say, oh that's a perfect position, I think I'll go three hundred yards. The only thing the ball knows is, bang. That's all the ball knows. And that's where Arnold Palmer really gave it. Right at impact. So whatever he did, bang, impact. The most important place. So whether you're using your hands, your arms, your body, if you just think hard, punch hard, hit hard. Impact, it's by far the most important place. And Arnold Palmer's thought, hit the ball hard. The ball is there. Well I think I'll get fast early, I think I'll, no. There's the ball, there's the club head, bang, bang, bang. Hit it hard. Bang, right at the ball. It was his thought. If you want to hit it far, hit it hard, at impact."
