"What I am going to show you now is how to take this regular plain design of a covered up double crocheted scrunchie and I am going to show you how to add a little bit of texture to it. Now if you've watched any of my other clips, you will see this technique used in what I call a rib knit. Now what we are going to do with our crocheting is with our loop attached to what was already a complete level one, we are going to go ahead and chain up two. So go one, two because this is basically a double crochet just with a little bit of twist. Now just like a double crochet, we are going to take our yarn around so we got two pieces of yarn on our needle. And from the front, because you see that when you do a double crochet creates these little columns. So from the front, you are going to go behind the column and you are going to grab the yarn through. Just like that. And so we have our three loops. Pull it through the first two and through the second two. Now what we are going to do is from the back, we are going to come in from the back right on this next side. And now that our needle is in the back, we are going to bend around the front right through here. We are going to pull this yarn through. So we got our three loops. Go through the first two and the second two. Now what you see happened is we are starting to get these little columns that stick out. So now that we are back to the front, wrap it around again and from the front go through the column and then out the other side. Grab the yarn and pull it up. Go through the first two and then through the second two. And you will see these little bits starting to stick out. And what we are going to do is we are going to go backwards and forwards along the whole way. Just make sure you keep track of when you enter through the front and when you enter through the back. But just keep working it all the way around until you get to the other side."
