"Now that we have our chain, I'm going to show you how to take this chain into our first row so we can get started on our rib crochet. Now that we have our loop on our needle, we're going to count two chains. And there's one chain, and there's two. And we're going to wrap our yarn around our loop because this is just a standard double crochet, and on the second chain over here we want to take our needle directly underneath it. So there's half of it, and there's the other half. You see we got our needle right underneath that chain, and you just pull your yarn through, and now we've got our three loops just like a standard double crochet. Now we're going to wrap another piece of yarn around and pull it through the first two, wrap a piece of yarn around and pull it through the second two. And that's how we get our first double crochet. And this little end piece is also going to count as one, but I'll show you as we go later on, how to work this in to our other rows. So in the next chain, you want to go directly to the next one, get your yarn around, and go underneath the chain. And if it's too hard for you to get it through here, because I find it's difficult for me, especially when we've just got one little chain, is you can flip it underneath and you'll find these little one parts that stick out. And you can just go underneath the one right there, which is the two on top and just pull it through. We've got our three, pull it through the first two, pull it through the second two and we just want to continue this all the way until we get to the end of our chain."
