"At this point what we are going to do is finish the top. We will do it in a simulative manner that we did the base, sand with 120 then 220, apply the sanding sealer and the finish sealer. Again you want to take out any of these large lines and with this wood it just comes off fairly easily. If you are working with a harder wood you may want to use a coarser sand paper. The rule on sand paper with wood turning is to use as coarse as necessary. Put the sanding sealer on. If you are doing anything on the lathe with the finishing rags, don't wrap the rag around your finger. Add the final finish and then we are set to go for assembly."
