"In this section we are going to get ready to prepare to put a final finish on the body. We will be using a standing sealer which is a shellac based product. What I do at first at this point to make sure I get in the cracks is put the sealer on and just rub it around, rotate the body around, take a rag and move it around, put some shellac sealer on a rag and make sure I cover the body. The nice thing with this is you don't have to worry about being neat, just make sure you get the seal on. You just want to cover the body and seal it up. You get it on then step back, turn the machine on. You will get a little bit of a splatter off of it and you'll find that this dries very rapidly and then take a 4/0 piece of steel wool and just lightly rub over it. What happens is the shellac will raise the grain, the steel wool will smooth it out again."
