"During this segment we're going to bore through the main part of the body on the pepper mill. The first thing we are going to do is locate where the top, the beginning of the top and we'll do that with the story stick. Take the story stick, lay it down, and we'll mark where the top starts, bring up the lathe or the tool rest rather and just run it around so I've got a line. This, from between here and here is going to be the body and I've taken on my drill bit and I've made a mark so I will only drill in, I know how far to go in, to drill it up to that point. One thing to remember when you are mounting your drill bits, don't just turn the chuck key in one hole, turn it in all three holes. This will insure that you've got the drill bit in tightly, lock it in place, and start feeding it in. Bring yourself in about 1 and 1/2 inch or so, backing out the clear chips and then go in again another couple of inches band back it out. Most coils will only go in 2 or 3 inches so you need to back it out, release your head stock and then push it in again."
