"During this session we are going to bring the blank to round, create a shoulder for mounting in the scroll chuck and square the end in preparation for boring. The tool rest is about level with the drive and the tail centers. We are turning at about 1,500 rpm. We will do a peeling cut for the shoulder about mid-chuck and square the bottom."
