"One of the handiest claps of tools for cleaning out the inside of bowls or small tools are scrapers. There are two major types of scrapers. You have the round nosed scraper here where you cut across the round portion and a little bit to the side. One of the characteristics of scrapers is that they tend to be thick bodied and have very blunt edges and they actually cut by a bur off the edge of the tool. The other most common scraper is what is called the square nosed scraper. Although this isn't actually square, you are talking about the square edge from here and across and they have a slight crown and these are used to flatten out the bottoms of boxes, the bottoms of bowls or the bottoms of trays. You can also get specialized wood scrapers and work with different shapes on the end. One frequently used one is called the diamond scraper and this will allow you to cut a V groover within your work and if you are dealing with miniature pieces you can work off some miniature scrapers which will allow you to cut items at different radius's."
