"So let’s take a moment now to focus on another important aspect of our standing postures. Which is the Mula bandha or the root lock. This will help create stability in our postures as we are trying to hold them. The easiest to practice this in mountain pose, so let’s find mountain pose, grounding into our feet, standing up nice and tall. Lifting through the crown of the head. Now the Mula bandha is essentially the muscles in the pelvic floor and the lower abdominal area. So we are going to be engaging those muscles. Contracting those muscles. Similar to the way that and O.B.G.Y. N. has a pregnant woman do kiegal exercises. So you are contracting those muscles sort of a strange sensation, takes some getting used to. But where are lifting, we're engaging and that's locking the body. It's creating a lock, creating stability in our standing postures."
