"So the next style bike you should be able to identify is the muscle bike, or what a lot of people generically call a stingray. Although, stingray implies it was made by Schwinn, and there are many muscle bikes that weren't made by Schwinn. It'll have a banana seat; it'll have monkey handlebars, twenty-inch wheels. The boys bikes will have what's called a cantilever frame. You see the, kind of the pointy shape on this. It's tapered on both ends, a very pretty frame. Another thing it may have if you're lucky is one of these giant shifters. These were outlawed. They were made illegal in the mid seventies, cause' too many kids got hurt on them, but this was a great shifting mechanism and makes these very popular. And again, you look for the banana seat, and you look for the monkey handlebars. But don't be fooled by imitators. Just because it has a banana seat, and monkey handlebars, and a cantilever frame, and maybe cool front suspension, it does not mean that it's a muscle bike. This is what's called a low rider, and this thing is probably about four years old."
