"I'm going to describe some of the key features about the frame of a middleweight bicycle. First thing you'll notice on the male style bikes is the cantilever frame, it's got this smoother, it's more compressed and longer, and a nice smooth arch down and back up. They're great looking bikes. The head tube is about the same size as the head tube on a balloon tire cycle. It's starting to get a little narrower diameter. The top tube, a lot of these have a double top tube, you can see there are actually two bars, two tubes going across the top here. That really became popular with these middleweight bicycles. The tank now, is much slimmer than on a balloon tire bike. They still have the tank, most of the tanks you're going to have lighting that comes around front like this. Some tanks had a bell inside them, some even had a radio inside them. This one just has a light, and I really doubt that it works, it's probably all crusted up in there. There might even be the old batteries in there, which is usually a problem. The seat tube is nice and straight. You'll see a great old decal on here, decals you always want to preserve them, you want to not put any chemicals or finishes on them, that adds a lot to the value of the bike to have the decal like this. And, if you'll look towards the back of the frame, you'll see the pointy drop outs, when you have pointy drop outs like that, you know you're looking at a cool, space age, middleweight bicycle."
