"All right, now we are going to finish our crane pin. This is a dried pin. Take the clothespins off. Now we are going to spread the wings. Spread the wings, open that base up, and we have our crane. Now this is good as is, but I'd like to put a little bit of varnish on it so that my jewelry is durable. So taking the crane by the head first, we are going to dip our brush into the varnish, and paint one or two coats of varnish onto all the surface of this paper. So start with the top, and paint inside that little pocket, and then up the tail. Once we've done that, we can take it, turn it around, and holding the pin, we can do the head. Then making sure you get that little pocket inside, paint up the head. Now do the underside of the wing. Paint a one or two coats of this varnish onto your origami, and this helps to preserve your paper. It doesn't yellow; it just helps to make it more durable. And if you get caught in the rain with this, it's okay, it can withstand a little wetness; however, don't wear it in the shower. Let it dry overnight, and once it's dry you have your crane pin."
