Series Summary

Origami, a form of visual representation defined by the folding of paper, originated in Japan in the 1600s. Since then, this ancient art has become a popular hobby for many around the globe. Origami has been popular in the United States and England since the early 1900s, but did you know that the first published origami book, "Hiden Senbazuru Orikata" (which translated to English means “Secret of 1,000 Cranes Origami”), was published in 1797? Origami has always been regarded as a complicated and delicate art form, but our expert will teach you step-by-step how to fold origami in such a way that it is easily accessible to beginners. In this free origami lesson for beginners, you will learn how to fold a flower, a flower bouquet, a crane pin and a cherry blossom. Our expert will even show you how to make a chain of butterflies and a kusudama (Japanese healing ball), which may seem like difficult projects, that is until our expert breaks them down into easy steps for beginning and intermediate origami folders.

"In this series I will show you how to make some origami projects. Origami is an art it is something to be displayed after you made a piece of origami. First saver the accomplishment I made this and then find ways to display them as in this flower. In this series I will show you how to make a origami flower into actual flower with a stem and leaf. For the origami flower you will need glue a glue stick which is a cocktail toothpick a close pin. Size three inch square pieces of paper. Some needles, floral wire and floral tape and leafs. These leafs are grasses that I bought at a craft store you can substitute them with anything that you find or even fold an origami leaf. So for the origami flower you will need to fold with this size of paper. Now it might become a little more difficult the smaller you go. So practice with a regular sheet of paper first. It's a three inch square."
