"So previously we did a stacking exercise on the G scale and we did a two octave G scale. Now that you've started learning the other violin positions, you've learned the G scale and other scales and positions other than the first position, you can use this stacking exercise on any of the positions. Whatever you feel comfortable with, but in the beginning, I would start doing the stacking exercise with just a one octave D scale in the first position. (Exercise demo) So, you can do that with all your scales. In the beginning, since it's a new exercise, I would start, though, in first position and then once you become more comfortable you can start practicing this with the other scales that we've learned. And the other position, in the second, third, fourth, and the upper positions which you will learn down the line."
