Now what is the distinguishing characteristic of our D? It's that it has one rounded side and one straight side. It's a rounded form. It's a one story letter. Here it is a little bolder. Here it is as it fits in the diagram. Here it is again, and what are our magic words. Here's a big one. Daily discipline. If you want to learn how to do calligraphy you really have to do it every day. Okay. This is precisely like trying to play a musical instrument. You can't play a musical instrument well unless you practice it every day. There are lots of things like that. Drawing. You need to appreciate the fact that what you are doing is drawing. You know we have a regular handwriting and we don't think about it as drawing, but this is absolutely drawing. So think of it that way please. There's your D.
