"Here's our minim stroke. Remember that the minim stroke defines the character of the letter form. See how it gets heavier down here? This little guy right down here towards the end of the stroke is, it was a serif, I was talking about serifs with the Roman. But when you get to a shape like this it's more likely that it will be referred to as a pedibus. And a pedibus is a Latin word for foot. Here's our minim stroke. Very thin and then it thickens out to weight it, stabilize it. We're going to intuit a J. I like that. See how fast this goes? It comes down this way, turns out. That's how you get out of your stroke. Very hair-lined, relaxed stroke. Relaxed stroke. Oh, I might have made this a little bit too wide. Got to remember that this is a very tall and thin alphabet. Hair line, hair line. Vertical. Still very vertical. Same idea, stopping before you get there, to the other, touching the first stroke."
