"Now sometimes when you're doing Acupressure, your dog will object. If it's a particular painful point, say the dog has arthritis in his knee and you're doing specific knee points, quite often when you first start doing acupressure you won't be able to work on those points cause it'll be too painful. He might swing around, he might try to bite at you. It's important to stop at that point, not work on those points, go back to some of the general points. See which ones he will tolerate and work on those for sometime as many as two or three sessions before you try to do the painful point again. As I said earlier, pushing down on a point when the dog pushes back, that's actually an indication that that feels good and they want you to continue. But if the dog attempts to get away or against reaches around to snap in your direction or to let you know that he's not happy about it, that's an indication that that point is just a little too painful to work with. Save it for a little later, go back and do some of the general points, concentrate on massage and come back to those points when the animal's feeling better."
