"A nice point to finish on for just about any type of arthritis, but particularly for the hips, which tend to be very, very painful is to use Kunlun Mountain, which is bladder 60, or the Aspirin Point. And this is the one that's located between the Achilles tendon, which is this tendon running through here, and the bone in this space underneath. The best thing to do in this case is to run your fingers, one on either side, up and down, just move that skin around in that area. And that's a really nice, soothing; it'll soothe all kinds of pain. So it's particularly good for hip dysplasia, but for any type of, even if the dog has recently had a traumatic injury it's something you can do to calm and relax them, and by relaxing the muscles and the tendons, you're actually making the pain less. So you work that point, and again, it's an up and down motion, not a stationary hold; just an up and down as you go in between the two, and you can see that there's a fair bit of loose skin there. Don't be afraid to move that around, make that skin really move, put some pressure on it."
