"In this series we're going to talk specifically about using acupressure for hip dysplasia. Hip dysplasia is injury, or congenital problems with the hip bones, and it causes severe pain, arthritis, quite often, difficulty moving. It’s one of the forms of arthritis that can be very well helped by the use of acupressure. We do recommend you see your Veterinarian first, get a complete diagnosis; a full workup, and then ensure that your Vet knows what you're doing as you're doing these acupressure treatments on your dog for this particular problem. We will concentrate on the different types of arthritis hip dysplasia, some of which gets worse when it's hot, sometimes cold, sometimes wet weather bothers them more, and we will talk about specific points for that type of thing, as well. Most dogs with hip dysplasia will have some bony growth in the area, so you may find that you're not going to be able to do every point I'm showing you today. Use the ones that your dog seems to be comfortable with. And if he your dog is actually moving into the points, then you know you're actually creating a lot more comfort for that animal."
