Calligraphy Tips: Writing Letter Z

The Z is a one story letter. So, it has that width and it is also, believe it or not, meant to be one single stroke. So, the stroking, the lining sequence is; now you are just turning a corner. I would right here, I got to thicken this a little bit, because what you want to think about is the same thing that you're thinking about on the end which is that this diagonal stroke has to be thicker to be stronger and then this way. So, look it is all one stroke. Here it is again. I'm writing; this may look a little gray toned to you and it's because I'm writing on a paper or card stock rather that has a lot of texture to it. Some calligraphers really enjoy using texture on the surfaces that they work with. Now, what is our very fancy word for the Z? It is Zen. Right now I'm not going to try to define the word Zen, but you know you've certainly heard the; you must have heard the phrase Zen aspects. Like somebody will say, what are the Zen, this has really got a lot of Zen aspects to it.
