Alright, what's a good "P" word? Oh we have so many wonderful words in calligraphy. "Proportion", obviously the word proportion, you know having to do with a relative size of things, plays a very, very important place, and you must be very aware of this. "Patience" is a really important word, it definitely takes patience to learn this, tremendous amount of patience. So what I would advise you is to be patient with yourself. I don't think that many people think that way, they think about being patient with others, or being patient with something. But what I'm going to say is in order to learn calligraphy, this needs to be paramount, you need to be patient with yourself. "Practice", is absolutely essential. There's going to be no difference between practicing calligraphy and practicing any other thing that takes physical coordination and mind-fullness, so it's going to be the same like playing a musical instrument, it's going to be the same as doing a sport, dancing, swimming, whatever. "Passion" and "power"; if you do this enough, if you get to the point where you're actually making beautiful letters and you're discovering all the amazing wonderful things that you can do with calligraphy, you're going to develop a passion for it, and this happens in all the arts. The power, the whole idea of power, I think has to do with the ability to make beautiful things, I consider that a great power, it's not power over anyone else, it's a personal power, and it's a wonderful power.
