"Okay, the first point we are going to talk to you about is encircling leap or gall bladder 30. This is one that is right along the femur or the big bone of the hind leg. Behind the femur, in this heavily muscled area, you are going to find your way into a crease. And that's where you are going to work. This one is particular good for back pain of any sort, body pain of any sort. Dogs who have spondylosis who may not be amenable to some of the other acupressure points I am going to show you along the back, this is a really good point to work with them because you're actually going to give them some comfort without actually touching the areas that are very painful. So you are going to spend some time on that one. Put some pretty good pressure on there. In any case with back problems, you definitely always want to do both sides. You want to keep the body as balanced as possible for a dog that's paralyzed because they are going to be turned regularly. You can work the side that's up first and then when they are turned over, you can work the other side. So that they get the good work out from what you are trying to do. Again, this is gall bladder 30. It's at the back of the femur in the big heavy muscle area. If you are having trouble finding it and especially as these dogs, especially ones who are paralyzed or have severe spondylosis and don't move much. As this muscle gets soft, sometimes it's even harder to find it because there's kind of not good defining space. Again, just go ahead and massage the area and that will do the trick."
