"In this series, we are going to talk to you about some acupressure techniques for some fairly serious problems. Back pain, paralysis, spondylosis, some of the very serious problems that happen with the back. In this case especially, we do say see your veterinarian, get a complete work up. Make sure you've done everything you possibly can to do, to make your dog as well as possible. And these are good techniques for really making the dog comfortable. Either as he's recovering from a back injury or in the case of some type like spondylosis where you get bony growths on the spine. These are things you can do to make the dog comfortable. The bony growths are not going to go away but there are things you can do with acupressure and massage to make that dog feel better so his not so painful from these growths. And also in dogs who are paralyzed, these are really good ways to keep the muscles in tone and to help them to feel better as they are recovering from paralysis."
