"So people ask me what is the key to a successful Hoophouse and truthfully I say just that you build it and that it's strong and that it's strong enough to persevere through difficult weather. If you're like me, once you've built it you will find enumerable opportunities. Whether it's the heat loving or cold loving crops but you need to build one because without a Hoophouse you're still going to be working with limited environment. So there are two basic designs to look at. This is the Quancid or the round arch and this is the Gothic arch that comes up to a peak here. Now this one is very simple and will be a little less expensive to build. This one's slightly more complicated, you'll need a little more bracing, however the Gothic arch is supposedly better for shedding snow."
