"Okay we're moving on to a series of knee strikes. First one being the thrusting knee strike in the groin, stomach or face. Okay? So if you have somebody, pretend this is the head, okay, you have your right leg behind you, or the left, it doesn't really matter but it's the back leg, the one in the behind. Okay because the power comes from your hips and your driving force is the hip okay? So you're holding on to that head and you want to bring that power straight into the person so if we choose a groin strike we want to bring the hips forward and knee, you want to thrust that knee. As the target moves your hips are going to end up moving forward and your back a little bit further back okay? Now you hit with that knee straight into the groin and what you want to do at the same time is actually pull that person into you. So it's going to look like that. You're pushing your hips forward and your back is going to move backward okay? So make sure you drive with the hips not just the leg. Got to be the hip. Pull it. Okay so if I had the person's head I would actually pull it toward me. So this is your groin, this is your stomach. Or if you grab the person's head you're going to pull the head into that knee strike. Pull it. Okay. So you see how my hips move. The key, the power, whether it's kicks or knee strikes, always is the hip area. How it moves. If you just try to do a kick without using your hips you don't have much power. All the power comes from those hips moving into the bag or to the person. So that's our knee strike right there. After this one we're going to move on to the inside or outside roundhouse knee strike."
