"Okay so we're moving on from stepping side kick to hopping side kick. A little bit more advanced kick. Now this gives us the opportunity to cover a little bit more distance, with a lot more force behind it. That hop is going to give us a lot more momentum moving into our target. So give yourself a little bit more distance than you had on the first kick. We're adding a hop, what you want to do to cover that distance is kind of step behind a little bit into that target. That way it doesn't matter how far away that target is, you can cover the distance. Now we're adding a little hop, still kicking the same way with the heel up, the toe should be pointed downward slightly. And that way you know you're kicking with your glut. Your toes should never point upward toward the ceiling. One more time, I'm adding that little hop. Push that heel into the bag, come back. Make sure you turn those hips even though you're hopping. So one more time, come back to position. Going to do it one more time adding a little bit more speed to this kick, and that's our hopping side kick. Next time we're moving on to the flying side kick. Our advanced version of the kick."
