"Okay, now we're ready to decide where we want to put our appliqu? on our background. Go ahead and lay out your background and make sure that you have it ironed. And you can always center it. We can put them. With the tree it’s kind of nice because you can kind of mix it up. I can leave it like that. I can put them the other way. You could stretch them out. You can even have. With the trees it’s kind of neat, you can put it so the branch looks like it’s kind of going in front of and behind. Kind of like that there would be. Or you can just stick them right on top. Make sure you're thinking about how things are going to overlap, because you will be stitching around every stitch. And you want to think about too what your layers are going to be. Because there's generally your bottom, your middle and your top layer. And you want to stitch them in that order so that it will pop up more if it looks like it’s on top. Whereas if I do the top one and then the side ones it looks like the levels are kind of off. But you can center it. Or you can set it off to the side. And maybe I want to put a pocket over here for this, whatever the patch is going to be. But pretty much this is your chance to kind of put it together and decide how you want to get it set out."
