"So you're really sad today, let's draw an expression to match that with, and it's very sad expression. Let's start off with our eye shape as always. And I'm going to draw a slightly different eye shape here, it's going to be almost pear shaped. We're going to notice, it's going to come down, come down around and then bubble outwards. It's going to be an indentation right here. And we're going to do the same thing on the other side as if somebody has, almost like a melting expression coming down their face. Their nose is going to be the same, their eyes are going to be down toward the bottom of the eyes, they're literally down. I'm going to draw the eyelids, which are going to be coming down here, sloping downwards, right from the middle of the eyes on both sides here. You're sad. We're going to draw some slight lines underneath the eyes, to get an emphasize, your dour, unhappy, expression. Of course the thing you're going to be most familiar with, most basic cartoons are, is the downward tugging lines of your mouth. You're going to have a little dimple of the chin come down underneath to emphasize that. Going to put our ears out here, ears don't change, happy or sad they're pretty much the same. Now for your hair, you may make it just a touch flatter, and kind of sagging down a little further than normal. That can again, just like the general kind of weighing, everything's weighing on you. It's a downer of a day, it's like Monday with gray skies. Eyebrows likewise are going to be tugging downwards at their edges, and on the sides of the face you're going to again, kind of have this almost like something’s pulling the lines down this way. So you want to keep doing that, and doing that on your jaw line, coming down and around, and finishing up right underneath the chin. Now some other expressions you can add on here are, you can always put like, add in more side lines here, to emphasize exactly how much wrinkly and frowning you are. You could also add in very rounded sedate shoulders, as well. Even for effect, you can always just put like a little, quick little cloud, like that, even do a little bit of rain if you want to signify exactly how bad of a day your cartoon character's having."
